| The story of Hud Alaihissalam |
The prophet Hud always called on his people to worship God, to abandon idolatry, and to forbid the mistreatment of fellow humans. Hud As, sent to his people, the people of 'Ad, they are well known for their large and strong bodies.
They have very large orchards, many crops of earth. With their abundant wealth, they can create beautiful homes and palaces for their respective places.
Because of the abundant happiness of life, they forget the origin, they do not know where the abundant happiness and grace come from. To the rocks they thank all the favors and blessings, and to the rock they ask for help only in the face of hardships in life and in life. To avoid being misled by the U.S. Hud, call on his people as enshrined in the Qur'an:
"We sent to the people of 'Ad, a brother named Hud, and said:" O my people! Worship Allah Swt, there is no God for you but Him. You are not the only one who always invents. ”(QS. Hud, verse 50).
In another verse, the Hud says:
“Hi my people! I ask you no wages, and no one pays me, except God who makes me. Are you ignorant? "(QS Hud, verse 51).
In another verse, the U.S. Hud, appealed to his people as follows:
“Hi my people! Ask your Lord for forgiveness and turn to Him, for He will send down showers from heaven, and He will increase your strength with your strength, therefore do not turn away from your sins! "(QS Hud Hud 52).
The cry and cry of the U.S. prophet was answered by them (his people) as follows:
"They replied:" Wahia Hud! You do not bring our witness to us, so we do not want to leave our god alone in your words, and we do not believe you. We do not say, but in the Lord we have brought evil upon you. (QS. Hud verses 53-54).
Such is the dialogue that takes place between the U.S. Hud, and his people. They still refused to accept the call of the Hud, but he continued to invite them, as well as the response they received from the disobedient. So from time to time, year after year, it is said to be hundreds of years. There are very few who follow that teaching.
They do not really believe, they do not cease to do evil and evil, they do only what they want and do not ignore anyone. Their arrogance is so great that it cannot be changed by anyone.
Because of their great disobedience to the teachings of the U.S. Hud, God Almighty, cursed them, stretched out in a long black cloud. Seeing the strange situation, they all went out to see the cloud. Finally, they said, "that is a long cloud, signifying that the rain will soon fall to water our crops, giving water to our livestock."
The Hud said to them: "It is not a cloud of grace, but a cloud that brings forth the wind that will kill you, a wind full of fierce torment."
Then a terrible breeze blows, which is amazing. Their livestock grazing on their farms, small ones also fly in droves. They start to get scared and run into each other's houses.
Seven nights and eight days, the wind was blowing so great. Do not let humans and animals be destroyed, while rocks and mountains will be destroyed. Thus the mighty man who is arrogant is Except NAbi Hud U.S., and his faithful people are safe from the torment of Allah, as Allah swt says:
"There was even 'Ad destroyed by very strong winds, and very cold, to them seven nights and eight days without interruption. So they appear to have died as a fallen palm tree. They are all destroyed by their rebellion, too. ”(QS al-Haqqah, verses 6-7).
Whereas the US Hud, and his followers remained in their homes, without feeling the slightest danger of a terrible storm. After the events of the U.S. Hud, the place moved because the country was destroyed. He moved to Hadramaut, where he lived until his death there.
